Flickt is a social app that combines dating and friendship in one place. Swipe to match with people for dating or as friends, share photo and video posts to a Reels-style feed, and chat in real-time with end-to-end encrypted messaging.
Think of it as Tinder meets Instagram — designed to help you make genuine connections, whether romantic or platonic.
Getting started takes less than two minutes:
1. Download Flickt from the Google Play Store (iOS coming soon).
2. Enter your phone number and verify with a one-time code sent via SMS.
3. Create your profile — add photos, pick your hobbies, and set your preferences.
4. Start swiping!
No email or social media accounts required. Your phone number is your identity, and it is never shared with other users.
Yes! Flickt is completely free to download and use. You can swipe, match, chat, and post without paying anything.
We offer optional Premium and Premium+ subscriptions that unlock extra features like more Super Likes, Heart Letters, profile highlights, and an ad-free experience. There are also small consumable packs you can purchase individually.
Flickt is currently available on Android (Android 8.0 and above). We are actively working on an iOS version — join the waitlist to get notified when it launches.
Flickt uses a mutual-like system. Swipe right to like someone, left to pass. When both of you like each other, it is a match and you can start chatting instantly.
Our algorithm prioritises people with shared hobbies, proximity, and activity — so the profiles you see are more likely to be a good fit.
When you swipe, you choose an intent — dating or friends. Both modes use the same swiping experience, but your matches are tagged accordingly.
If you like someone as a friend and they like you as a friend, you will be matched as friends. The same applies to dating. This keeps expectations clear from the start.
A Super Like lets someone know you are especially interested. They will see a gold badge on your profile, and you will be boosted to the top of their swipe stack.
Free users get 2 Super Likes per day. Premium members get 5, and Premium+ members get 10. You can also buy additional packs if you run out.
Heart Letters let you send a personal message to someone before you have matched. It is a way to make a genuine first impression instead of just swiping.
This is a premium feature — Premium members get 5 per month, Premium+ get 15, and anyone can buy letter packs. Sending a Heart Letter also counts as a Like, so if they like you back, you will match instantly.
Yes. All messages and Heart Letters are protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). We use X25519 key agreement and AES-256-GCM — the same class of cryptography used by Signal.
This means your messages are encrypted on your device before they leave it. Not even Flickt can read them. Media files shared in chat are also encrypted with a per-file key.
Absolutely. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. After confirming, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which you can log back in to reactivate it.
After 30 days, your account and all associated data — profile, photos, messages, matches — are permanently deleted from our servers. You can also request deletion via our web form as required by app store guidelines.
You can report a user from their profile screen or from within a chat. Choose a reason (harassment, inappropriate content, spam, etc.) and our content moderation team will review the report.
You can also block users at any time — blocked users cannot see your profile, send you messages, or appear in your swipe stack.
Your data is hosted on EU servers and we are fully GDPR compliant. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3).
Chat messages use a relay-only architecture — the server temporarily queues encrypted messages for delivery and then deletes them. Your actual chat history lives on your device, not on our servers. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the app or through your Google Play Store subscription settings. When you cancel, you keep all premium benefits until the end of your current billing period.
Any consumable credits you have purchased (Super Likes, Heart Letters, etc.) remain in your account even after cancelling your subscription.
