End-to-end encrypted messaging

Only you and the person you're talking to can read your messages. Not even we can see them. Every message, photo, and video you send is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves.

We use X25519 key exchange and AES-256-GCM encryption — the same military-grade standards trusted by security professionals worldwide.

Relay-only message delivery

Your chat history lives on your device, not on our servers. Messages pass through our servers only long enough to reach the recipient — then they're automatically deleted.

Undelivered messages are held for up to 30 days in encrypted form, then permanently removed. You can export and back up your conversations with an encrypted backup at any time.

All data is stored on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (AWS eu-central-1). Fully compliant with EU data protection regulations and GDPR.

Right to delete

Delete your account any time from the app. We provide a 30-day grace period in case you change your mind, then permanently erase everything.

Minimal data collection

We collect only what's needed to match you with the right people. No secret tracking, no selling your data, no third-party ad networks.

NSFW filtering

Automated content moderation screens profile photos and posts for inappropriate content before they reach the community.

Report inappropriate behavior or block anyone with a single tap. Our team reviews every report to take swift action.

Optional face verification helps confirm users are who they say they are, reducing catfishing and fake profiles.

We've designed authentication to protect you from the start.

Phone-only authentication

We use phone number verification only — no social logins like Facebook or Google. This prevents impersonation through compromised social media accounts.

Every login requires a fresh 6-digit OTP code sent directly to your phone. Codes expire after 5 minutes and are limited to 3 attempts.

Meet in public places Always choose a busy, public location for first dates. Use Flickt's location sharing to let a friend know where you are.
Chat first, meet later Take your time getting to know someone in the app before meeting in person. Trust your instincts if something feels off.
Tell a friend Share your plans with someone you trust. Let them know who you're meeting, where, and when you expect to be back.
Never share financial info No legitimate match will ask for money, bank details, or gift cards. Report anyone who does immediately.
Protect your personal details Don't share your home address, workplace, or daily routine with someone you've just met. Keep it general until you build trust.
Report suspicious behavior If someone makes you uncomfortable, block and report them. We review every report and take action to keep the community safe.
